Jolie Lounge & Café offers homemade seasonal food and unique drinks and baked goods with a dash of wild food. In Jolies kitchen we generally cook and bake everything from scratch and our dishes are made to order. The menu, which changes eight times a year, has something for everyone, both regular and vegetarian, people with dietary restrictions and vegans alike.

Jolie Lounge & Café will close its doors at the current location, Sivulantie 4, in mid-May. Our doors will be open until May 17th 2025, after which we will clear the premises and take a creative summer break. We do not intend to end our story here, but are planning to write a new chapter as we are looking for a new home!

Welcome to Jolie Lounge & Café to enjoy what nature and the seasons have to offer. We are the perfect place to fuel up, enjoy a moment to yourself or gather with friends, celebrate small or big events in life, or to just drop in when you get hungry, thirsty or crave something sweet.

Seasonal ingredients produced as close as possible, as well as wild food foraged from the pure nature of Ylläs, are the main stars on Jolie Lounge & Café’s food and drink menu.

Come to Jolie and enjoy what the season and nature have to offer. In the summer, the brand new terrace also invites you to relax and admire the wonderful view.

You can only make reservations for dinners, brunches and other special events in the reservation calendar. During regular opening hours we do not take reservations.

Relaxed living room in the heart of Äkäslompolo

We are a restaurant, café, lounge and bar, but above all we are a relaxed and cozy living room in the heart of Äkäslompolo.

Jolie Lounge & Café opened its doors in December 2020. Our menu changes with the eight seasons we experience here in Lapland and invites you to drop in to eat, drink coffee or enjoy our unique cocktails alone, with a friend or a bigger group. Over the course of the past years Jolie has become a popular meeting place where we also organize brunches, themed Friday Night Dinners, music lounge evenings with a live DJ and other interesting events.

Jolie Lounge & Café is looking for a new home!

Jolie Lounge & Café will close its doors at the current location, Sivulantie 4, in mid-May. Our story is not ending with bankruptcy, burnout or loss of interest, but with the current landlord’s desire to take the business premises for his own use starting from June 1st 2025. It is with a heavy heart that we will have to give up our beloved place in the heart of Äkäslompolo at the end of May, as our lease agreement will not be extended.

The crazy idea of ​​​​starting a restaurant in the middle of covid brought its own challenges; stricter regulations, limited customer spaces and opening hours, quarantine – we managed to overcome them. Next came financial worries, exhaustion, the departure of the second owner from the company and a shortage of personnel; we also managed to overcome all of this. Despite the challenges we faced, we managed to create a small oasis in the middle of the village, filled a gap in the village’s services and were able to offer our own creations in the form of cakes, drinks, food and dinners. We will continue to do this until May 17th 2025, after which we will empty the premises and leave for the summer.

When one door closes…

We are not ready to give up on our story yet, but we are planning on writing a new chapter and therefore we are looking for new premises! After a short creative summer break, we hope that Jolie Lounge & Café can serve the residents and tourists of the village again in one way or another. We are primarily looking for new restaurant premises in Äkäslompolo. Until a suitable commercial space is found, we are aiming to bake and provide catering services again from autumn 2025 onwards. We can also come to your home or cottage to cook a delicious dinner. But more on this later.
