Pottery once a month – Clay & Drinks

Welcome to a relaxed evening of ceramics, good drinks, and creative activity at Vanha-Norri’s new café! The workshops are led by ceramicist Emmi-Riikka Marin, owner of Studio Onerva in Liesjärvi. These monthly “Clay & Drinks” evenings combine hands-on crafting with casual socializing—no need to be a master potter or an experienced hobbyist to join in.

Three slightly different evenings will be held this autumn. Each session features its own unique theme, activity, and atmosphere—and, of course, something delicious to drink (and eat).

1.10.26: Wine and Platters

Let’s kick off the autumn with wine and ceramics. During the evening, you’ll shape your own serving platter—one that truly reflects your personal style. Working with clay is a calm, meditative process, made even more relaxed with a glass of wine in hand.

5.11.26: Cocktails and Mini-Sculptures

In November, we’ll give our creativity a bit more room to play. We’ll shape small sculptures while enjoying cocktails and mocktails, embracing a lighthearted, fun atmosphere.

3.12.26: Glög and Lanterns

In December, we’ll light the candles and craft our own ceramic lanterns for the dark winter evenings. Glög, clay, and the approaching Christmas season create a warm, cozy atmosphere—the perfect way to pause and unwind before the holiday rush.

All evenings from 18:00 to 21:00

Price: €65 per session, including 1 kg of clay, slips, firing, and clear glaze. Also included are two themed tasting portions of drinks (non-alcoholic options available) and light snacks.
Additional clay can be purchased for €6/kg. More food and drinks are available for purchase at the bar.

The evening is suitable for both beginners and those with prior pottery experience. Come alone, with a friend, or in a group. Here, you can create, experiment, chat, enjoy yourself, and—above all—relax.
